Viktor Shvaiko: Journey to the West
is an impressive monograph of the artist and his work.
Published in a deluxe hand-crafted portfolio, masterfully
printed in Barcelona with over 70 color plates, it features
an editorial overview by M. Stephen Doherty, Editor-in-Chief
of American Artist Magazine.
Shvaiko's jouney is chronicled in his own
words, from his childhood days and rigorous art school years
in Russia, through his daring departure on foot from the
Soviet Union via Yugoslavia, to his arrival and search for
artistic recognition in New York City.
The deluxe version of Viktor Shvaiko:
Journey to the West is hand-signed in ink by the artist,
individually numbered in a limited edition of 950, enclosed
in a custom clamshell portfolio case with gold foil
stamping, wrapped in fine Italian satin, and lined with
premium French paper. Most significantly, the volume is
accompanied by these two 7" x 9" signed and numbered
lithographs, Bicycle and Troubadour
Restaurant.
